(NEW) STUFF THE BUS BREAKS RECORDS AGAIN!
I am....FLOORED!
WES Families, last year, we brought Stuff the Bus to Walkerton Elementary, and we were able to donate to the Walkerton Food Pantry the single largest donation in their history...
....AND WE DID IT AGAIN!
The 2022 Stuff the Bus food drive at Walkerton Elementary School saw us collect over 6,500 food items, FOR AN ESTIMATED TOTAL OF OVER $16,000!!
THAT IS AMAZING!!!
I want to personally say THANK YOU to each and everyone one of you who donated this year and last. The generosity and charitable spirit that we saw from all of our students this week would make you cry, and it's even more powerful knowing that all of the food we did collect stays right here in Walkerton for local families in need.
I can't thank you enough for your generosity...I hope you know how impactful even the smallest of donations is...WE APPRECIATE YOU!

(Reminder) Leaves are Falling, and It is Getting Cold!
Fall came full force this week, as we saw the temperature drop to 39 degrees at 7:45 in the morning!
As the weather begins to change, please remind your children that their clothes need to change as well. Coats, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. may be needed sooner rather than later.
If you need assistance in providing any type of clothing, please email Dr. Fuller at pfuller@jgsc.k12.in.us
Similarly, as the rain (and God forbid snow) begins to fall, please remember to keep it slow in the parking lot, both in the morning and afternoon. We have a lot of very excited kids eager to both come to school and go home from school, and we want to make sure we are keeping them as safe as possible.

Dr. Fuller's Thoughts!
Doing 'good' matters.
Whether it is helping a friend carry their backpack to class, opening the door for a stranger so they can go first, OR STUFFING A BUS FULL OF FOOD....the good we do in this world doesn't go unnoticed.
We try our best to praise our students at WES for doing 'the good'...lending a helping hand, donating food, making a new student smile their first day at WES...
...'doing good' matters.
Character is what you do when no one is looking. What matters to me is how our WES students treat each other...but we also care deeply about how they act when they leave this building and how they represent themselves.
When your child does the right thing, let them know you are proud of them.
You don't need to do that with money or by giving them a treat...you simply just need to tell them that YOU are PROUD of who and what they did.
That will go miles.
I'm so PROUD of our students for their effort with 'Stuff the Bus', and I'm so PROUD of our staff and community for rallying behind such a good cause.
THANK YOU for all of your continued support of WES!
