All Media Center fines should be paid by the end of 3rd hour. Lunch detention slips will be handed out to those with outstanding fines beginning today.

The Boys and Girls track teams will have their awards on Friday May 24th at 5:00 PM. The awards will take place in the cafeteria and all athletes and their families are welcome to attend. If you have any questions see Coach Johnson.

All girls interested in playing Knox Volleyball league, forms and money are due by Friday. You can turn them into Mr. Foster in the athletic office.

Any boys interested in playing tennis this fall please stop and get a summer schedule from Mr. Horvath. Open courts begin June 3^rd.

Locker sign-ups will continue today for next years juniors. There will be sheets at lunch to sign up. Tomorrow sign up will finish up with next years sophomores.

Summer School forms are available in the guidance office and can still be turned in. The 1^st session of US History and Economics is full.

There will be a meeting today in Mr. Drotar’s room during Activity Period TODAY for any students taking the June 1^st SAT here at JGHS.

Sports Results:

The Glenn Golf Team placed 2nd at the NSC Tournament Saturday with a 329 total behind Triton at 319. Three Falcon players made the All-Conference Team: Tyler Prentkowski placing third with a score of 75, Michael Schmeltz placing 7th with an 83, and Nick VanderVelden 10th with an 85. Austen Hayes played well at 86.

Seniors: We need as many volunteers Tuesday right after school to meet in Mrs. Slough's room to fill 200 balloons for our "birthday" celebration for Bobbie Nyari. The more people help out the less time it will take. Please plan on being ready to start immediately after school. It should take less than an hour to complete our goal. Thanks from all of us.

This is it! Today is the day that all library materials are due. You may drop them off on the cart at the Media Center door, or if you have a fine to pay, please come in and take care of that. All fines must be paid by next Wednesday, or you may face one last Friday school.

Show your support for Nikole Hatchett and her team by either registering to walk on May 18 or by making a donation during lunch or in the guidance office throughout the day. Go to www.lupus.org to learn more. Donation containers will also be located in the media center, study hall room, and Mrs. Carey's room. Please support Nikole's Fight.

Tomorrow is the day! All library materials are due this FRIDAY, By the end of the day tomorrow, please make sure you have no library material in your locker. All fines must be paid by next Wednesday or you may face one last Friday school. Thanks!

The Media center will be closed during Activity Period today for an Anti-bullying activity. Please do not send students to the media center during that time.

Sports Results:

The Glenn Golf Team competed in the Uebele and CMA Tourneys last weekend. Michael Schmeltz was low for Glenn at the Uebele with an 88. At the CMA Invite Tyler Prentkowski made the All-Tourney Team with 79 followed by Austen Hayes with an 85.

John Glenn's Junior Varsity Golf Team captured the JV NSC Falcon Invitational at Whispering Pines last night with a team score of 171 Glenn's Dylan VanHuss won Medalist honors with the low score of the tournament at 41. Glenn also had the #2 & #3 golfers in Christian Porter 42 and Daniel Gardner 42. Koley Gee scored a 46 followed by Dylan Schultz at 58. Congrats to Coach Brad Schmeltz and the team. Season Record is also 10 & 2 on the year.

There will be a short meeting after school in the cafeteria Wednesday after school for any girl interested in playing volleyball on the fall. Coach Fansler will hand out June's schedule and Knox league information. Please stop and see her to grab your papers!

The Anti-Bully Club will be meeting on Thursday during Activity Period. New and Current members are encouraged to attend. Please see Mrs. Rippy if you can't be there.

All NHS members: NLES needs a few volunteers to help with a dance on Thursday, May 16th. This involves helping with games, line-dances, and other fun stuff! This will only be for about an hour or so. Let Mrs. Carey know if you want to help. Also, the gold service hours activity form is due Friday, May 17. If you need a new one, see Mrs. Carey. This is for students who have been members since the beginning of the year. Those inducted in April do not need to do this.
