It is my privilege to announce Jill Davis, John Glenn High School Mathematics Teacher, has been selected as the 2020 John Glenn School Corporation Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Davis was chosen by a committee of peers and community members.
Mrs. Davis has served the John Glenn School Corporation for 36 years in many different capacities, including Mathematics and Department Chair. She leads both students and fellow educators as a mentor and the Union Vice President. There has been extraordinary team-work to provide eLearning in this pandemic and Jill has been on the forefront of that leadership.
It is an honor to present Mrs. Davis with the 2020 John Glenn School Corporation Teacher of
the Year Award.
Congratulations Sam on winning the Moose Krause Scholarship!
The JGSC Board is pleased to announce Mr. Chris Manering as the next Principal of John Glenn High School, effective July 1, 2020. Manering served as the Asst Principal since 2017, and as AD from 2014 until 2017. Manering also brings 11 years of teaching and coaching experience.
The Board also welcomes Mr. Ronald Brown as Asst Principal at JGHS effective July 1, 2020. Brown brings a total of 13 years experience, recently at Elwood CSC where he served as Dean of Students and Head Football Coach, at Triton Jr-Sr High School, and at Centerville High School.
Camryn Temple has won the Indiana Junior Duck Art Contest for 2020! Her artwork of the mallard was wonderful and was sent to the national contest that will take place this weekend. Her artwork was the best of the 203 Indiana entries.
Copies of all the winning entries are kept on the walls of the Muscatatuck Visitor Center for one year and Best of Show entries (like Camryn's) are kept on the wall permanently with other year's winners. Congratulations to Camryn on a wonderful piece of artwork!
John Glenn's Eric Blakenmyer received a powerful word from the Canadian Pacific Railroad.Eric's photo has been chosen to be featured in a book about the history of the CPC’s "Veteran's Units" that will be published this fall.All proceeds from will be donated to veterans groups.
Scholastics National Medal
Stella Greathouse received 2 National Silver Medals from Scholastics for her artworks: Eye to Eye and Sage.
Kiarra Pranger (2 poetry) and Annabelle Stremme (dramatic script) both won silver medals for writing from the National Scholastic Contest. Congratulations!

Congratulations to John Glenn High School for achieving Four Star School status for the 2017-2018 and 2016-17 school year. This is a truly noteworthy accomplishment for the entire school family.! Over this past decade, JGHS has earned this recognition more than any other high school in our area. You have played a major role and part in John Glenn High School's on-going success.
On behalf of our students, parents, and patrons, I thank you for your work and the daily sacrifices that you make. Great job, staff and students !
