Four - Star School
Six of the last seven years!
Indiana Superintendent of Instruction, Glenda Ritz, announced that John Glenn High School was a 4 Star School for 2014-2015. In order to achieve this award, a school must be in the top 25th percentile of schools in three categories (attendance, graduation rate, and ISTEP-ECA scores). There are more than 2,000 public and private schools in Indiana.
About 300 schools received the 4 Star Award throughout the state. Superintendent Ritz congratulated John Glenn by writing, “I am honored to name these schools as our Four Star Schools for this year,” said Ritz. “Winning this award is a testament to the excellent work done by teachers, administrators, students and parents throughout the year. On behalf of the entire Indiana Department of Education I send them my sincere congratulations."
