What if I need to contact someone?
You may call the administration office at 574-586-3129. Teachers are available via their preferred method of contact, as posted in Canvas.
I received an iPad, but it doesn't have a USB power brick. What should I do?
Please use your own if you have one. Otherwise, please send an email to asteg@jgsc.k12.in.us indicating that you need one.
When will I know what my assignments are?
By 9:00 A.M. on each eLearning day, teachers will have assignments posted in Canvas.
What is my Canvas username and password?
They're the same as your regular school username and regular password. Usernames and passwords will be emailed to parents of younger students, and will also be provided on paper for younger students in their binders.
Will there be a practice eLearning day at school?
Yes! Each building principal had a practice day to make sure you can find and access sample assignments.
When will my assignments be due?
Teachers will indicate due dates in their Canvas course.
What if I need to contact my teacher?

Were devices sent home with students?
5th through 12th grade students take their devices home daily. K through 4th grade students' devices were sent home on 3/13.
Do I have to use my school device?
NO! You may use any device that has the ability to access your assignments.
Is there a Canvas app for smartphones?
YES! Please see https://canvas.instructure.com/courses/1045977/pages/canvas-apps
After installing, you'll be asked to find your school. Search for JGSC.
What if I don't have Internet or a smartphone at home?
Your teacher may provide paper-based alternative lessons for students without access to Internet.
Are there low-cost options for Internet access?
There may be, depending on family income and location. Please see Mediacom.
How will attendance be taken?
If you turn in no work, you will be marked absent for that day (elementary) or period (middle and high school.)
Is eLearning mandatory?
Yes. E-Learning is a regular school day, even though assignments will be completed outside of school.
What if I have problems?

What happens with ISTEP+, IREAD-3, ILEARN, and ISPROUT state mandated assessments?
