Dear Parents and Guardians,
You may recall an email that I sent in November announcing the possibility of an eLearning/Distance Learning day this school year. This letter is an update to let you know where we are in that process.
Reminder that if we do not have a weather-related closing by February 13th, we will not be conducting an eLearning day on February 17th. If that's the case, school will not be in session that day, either onsite or electronically.
Our eLearning steering committee has developed and communicated guidelines for teachers regarding how the eLearning day will work. Teachers have been working hard to ensure that they and their students will be ready. Each school will have students practice their eLearning process during part of a regular school day sometime prior to February 17th.
We have posted eLearning information on the Web, including several "Frequently Asked Questions" to answer questions that you may have. It's located at http://www.jgsc.k12.in.us/elearning. Please check back as that page will be updated regularly.
